Back at the Old House

old house kitchen
This is the laundry room. Dig the floor pattern and the bright green wall color.

I have been spending time browsing Pinterest and getting inspired to up-cycle and re-purpose things. Who's with me?!

So you may know that we have this old house that I have dreams of remodeling some time in the coming years. Well, the house happens to currently house all sorts of family treasures! I spent two hours at the house this past Sunday, going through the boxes looking for things with potential. I found several things the I think could be little projects. I think my first will be transforming an old cookie sheet into a magnetic message board. More to come on that. I also brought home three blue tinted Bell brand mason jars because I keep eying those mason jar gardens on the diy boards.

I set aside an old chalkboard to redo, an old suitcase, some old sheets of music and some old maps. I will be sure to post any of the projects that come out of these items. I also came across some unused  canvas boards and am thinking of using them for some subway art.

Anyway, since I don't have pictures of projects I haven't done yet, here are pictures of some treasures I came across at the old house.

old mason jars
There are a lot of jars down there. All seem to be the Bell brand, some blue, many clear.
maritime clock
I LOVE this old maritime clock. It winds up with a key.
tea bag holder
Super adorable tea bag holder. There is a second one that is broken but repairable.
old lantern
There are two dusty old lanterns. This one looks the best.
thermos
Classic Thermos. Love the colors. Note the kitchen counter formica pattern.
